MEDICAL DERMATOLOGY

Annual skin cancer screenings are recommended by the American Academy of Dermatology.  Skin cancer affects 1 in 5 Americans.  We take the time to examine your skin from head to toe to check for skin cancer in addition to teaching our patients about their skin.

 

ACNE

PSORIASIS

Psoriasis is more common than we may realize.  This chronic condition is considered to be autoimmune.  It can appear as rashes anywhere on the body but tend to be most commonly found in the scalp, hands, feet, elbows and knees.  There are numerous treatment and management options for psoriasis- from topical to laser to light to oral and injectable medications.

When confronted with excess sweating, not only can patients feel isolated and embarassed, they also are not always sure where to turn.  Excess sweating, known as hyperhidrosis, has a number of causes and treatment options.  This is considered a medical diagnosis.
